Cupping Notes
Even after just the inaugural roast, this coffee has firmly stolen a spot in our hearts. It is a unique blend of coffees from both Tanzania and Sumatra and our blind cupping revealed that it definitely brings something new to the lineup. Juicy orange citrus notes quickly build on the tongue, but there is a clear flavor of saltiness and acidity that is reminiscent of both pecan pie and caramel. A cup of Autumn Blend is sure to remind you what time of year it is.

Farming NotesHailing from the Gunung Tujuh area of Indonesia, this coffee is grown at high elevations around Mt. Kerinci. This particular farm is serviced by 450 farmers, split into 24 different groups. This particular coffee is “wet-hulled,” meaning the parchment layer of the coffee is removed while the coffee is still wet. Such is the common practice in this area of the coffee world. This wet hulling can often result in famously “earthy” coffees coming from Sumatra.
