Why You’ll Love It
Burundi: Campazi is vibrant and complex, with juicy cherry cola sweetness, bright citrus, and a refined, wine-like finish.
Sourced from the Campazi community in Kayanza, this coffee comes through one of our longest-standing relationships in Burundi. We’ve worked with Jake Smith since before Peregrine was Peregrine, and now alongside Joel Edwards at Red Fox Coffees, continuing deep partnerships with producers like Picasso and Zeph of Burundi Seeds Specialty. Grown at high elevation and processed at the Umuco washing station, this washed lot undergoes a double fermentation and extended drying, resulting in clarity, structure, and expressive fruit character.
The Bottom Line: A lively, fruit-forward Burundi with cherry cola depth, blood orange brightness, and a smooth red wine finish. Dynamic, layered, and unmistakably East African.
Recommended Brew: Pour Over or Espresso

FAQs
Where do you source your coffee from?
We source our coffees from trusted producers and import partners around the world, focusing on quality, transparency, and long-term relationships. Each coffee is selected for its unique flavor profile and story.
Do you roast all of your coffee in-house?
Yes. All Peregrine coffees are roasted in small batches to ensure freshness, consistency, and clarity of flavor.
How fresh is your coffee when it ships?
We roast coffee regularly and ship as fresh as possible—typically within a few days of roasting—so it arrives at peak flavor.
What roast level is this coffee?
Rather than strict “light / medium / dark” labels, we roast each coffee to best highlight its natural characteristics. You’ll find tasting notes on each page to help guide you.
How should I brew this coffee?
This coffee works well across multiple brew methods. We recommend starting with your preferred method and adjusting grind size and ratio to taste. If you’d like guidance, we’re always happy to help.
Are your coffees single origin or blends?
We offer both. Single-origin coffees highlight a specific region or farm, while blends are crafted to create a balanced, consistent flavor experience.
Do you offer subscriptions?
We do. Subscriptions are a great way to enjoy fresh coffee regularly without thinking about it.
Is this coffee ethically sourced?
We care deeply about how coffee is grown, traded, and shared. While each origin and relationship looks different, we prioritize responsible sourcing and transparency whenever possible.
Why the name Peregrine?
The peregrine falcon is known for precision, focus, and excellence—values that shape how we approach coffee from sourcing to roasting.
