This coffee comes to us through our good friend Emma Nolley and a longstanding relationship with La Minita, one that continues to open doors to some of the more compelling lots coming out of Costa Rica.

Finca Corralar is a microlot produced within Hacienda La Minita in the Los Santos region, a high-altitude area with volcanic soils that support exceptional coffee growth. This lot is small and intentionally separated, processed naturally to highlight its fruit-forward character and syrupy body. Every step of harvest and drying is carefully managed to ensure consistent ripeness, slow sugar development, and clean, expressive flavor.

In a region known for washed coffees, a natural microlot like this stands out. The San Isidro 48 variety contributes structure and complexity, and the result is a cup that is both vibrant and approachable, playful without being unfocused.

And the cup delivers on that promise. It opens with bright, multi-dimensional fruitiness that surprises at every sip, settles into a soft, syrupy chocolate mid-palate, and finishes with a warm, date-like sweetness that lingers gently. It is balanced and composed, with just enough personality to keep you coming back.

This is the kind of lot that demonstrates what Costa Rican naturals are capable of when the intention is there from the start, a small, carefully curated coffee that earns every note in the cup.
